The New Hampshire Community Loan Fund recently provided a loan to help Growing Places Early Education and Youth Recreation expand its Lee campus.

Growing Places is a “Licensed Plus” nonprofit child care organization that has provided early education since 1978. Its programs in Lee, Durham, and Madbury provide care, tutoring, and recreation to children from 6 weeks old to school age. Its staff has more than 200 years of combined early child care experience.

Growing-Places-buildingThe Lee school, located near the Lee Traffic Circle, is adding 10 more classroom spaces, two teacher positions, office spaces, bathrooms, storage, and laundry. The addition will also help the school reduce its waitlist of 38 children.

“We’re thrilled to help Growing Places complete its expansion project because we view quality child care and early education as vital components of New Hampshire’s social and economic health,” said Community Loan Fund President and CEO Steve Saltzman.
