Marchant, Hawkes join Community Loan Fund staff

The New Hampshire Community Loan has added two new staff members: Sarah Marchant and Pamela Hawkes.

The New Hampshire Community Loan has added two new staff members.

Sarah Marchant, AICP, is the Community Loan Fund’s Chief of Staff. She is responsible for business management, executive communications, and cross-organizational strategic initiatives. Previously, Sarah served the City of Nashua from 2014-2021 as the Director of Community Development, responsible for the leadership and financial management of the Division and over 70 team members across six departments: Building Safety; Code Enforcement; Planning and Zoning; Waterways; Transportation; Urban Programs; and various commissions, boards, and programs. 

In 2022, Sarah was elected to the American Planning Associations AICP Commission for Region 5 and serves as the Professional Development Officer of the Northern New England Chapter of the American Planning Association, having served as president from 2015 to 2021. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the New Hampshire Planners Association as Federal Legislative Liaison and served as President from 2010-2014. In 2019, Sarah was appointed to the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority Board of Directors.

She holds a BA from the University of New Hampshire and an MA from the University of Connecticut.

Pamela Hawkes is the Community Loan Fund’s Director of Major Gifts and Corporate Giving. In this role, she creates strategies that help nurture the organization’s relationships with its major supporters and a volunteer program to create hands-on opportunities for its community to support our neighbors.

Prior to coming to the Community Loan Fund, Pamela was a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Families in Transition, one of the largest homeless service providers in N.H. She comes with over 13 years in donor development, volunteer management, board development, and oversight of a team with a $2-million annual fundraising goal.   

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and master’s degree in Marketing at Southern New Hampshire University. She is a Leadership Greater Manchester graduate and sits on its Steering Committee. She also serves on Girls Inc. New Hampshire’s Board of Directors and its Development Committee.
