The New Hampshire Community Loan Fund’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the addition of two new members beginning in January 2022.
Ali Sekou of Concord was born and raised in a small village in Niger, West Africa. He worked with the U.S. embassy in its security office and managed the Bitinkodji tourist site. He is currently a manager with Hannaford Supermarket.
Ali is a fluent speaker of four languages and has extensive volunteer experience, including service on the boards of the Concord Public Library Foundation and the Organization for Refugee and Immigrant Success. He is President of the Islamic Society of Greater Concord, a Concord Library Trustee and was recently listed in the New Hampshire Union Leader’s “40 under 40.”
Ali earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management and Political Science from Plymouth State University and a Master of Community Development and Leadership from the Carsey School of Public Policy at the University of New Hampshire.
Sid Prabhakar, of Bedford, is a well-rounded and passionate real estate finance professional with 10 years of underwriting, modeling, and asset management experience. His career has consisted of originating debt and equity for the creation of affordable housing, community facility spaces, and educational facilities across the U.S.
He is currently Vice President, Commercial Real Estate at TD Bank in New York City, where he manages a loan portfolio of over $500 million. Previous experience includes positions at Regions Affordable Housing, Deutsche Bank, Opportunity Finance Network, and in microfinance in South Africa. He recently served on the Board of the New York Housing Conference's Rising Leaders Network for five years.
Sid is a proud NH native. In his free time he enjoys playing tennis, exploring new restaurants, and checking countries off his travel list. He is a diehard Boston sports fan and never misses a chance to see his teams in action. He is excited to use his community development skillset to help foster economic development in his home state.
Sid earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
